Quantic Dream, the developer behind the critically acclaimed Heavy Rain, have announced that their next project, DETROIT: Become Human, will be released on May 25,2018.
The game is set in a near future where androids have been invented and are changing the fabric of society. According to the developer, this is their most ambitious title till date with the company developing a spectacular 3D engine to render a beautiful and detail rich world. Quantic Dream is know for their photorealistic motion captures and they have put it to good use here as well. Depending on the decisions the player makes, there can be varyying outcomes and entire sequences being experienced or skipped.
Since the game is based on three android who develop emotions and act on their own, players will have the ability to all three in turn. Subsequently, due to the decision based nature of the game, it is possible for any of the player controlled characters to die as well.
DETROIT: Become Human is a PS4 exclusive title developed in partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios.
