Capcom releases HD Remaster of Onimusha: Warlords

Onimusha: Warlords released

The much loved hack 'n' slash Capcom game "Onimusha: Warlords" is making a return on modern day hardware with an HD Remaster. The game is available for PlayStation 4 for Rs 1,664, Xbox One for Rs 1,660, PC for Rs 1,499 and Nintendo Switch. The remaster was handled by NeoBards, who also had a hand in the Devil May Cry HD Collection.

Released all the way back in 2001, the game became a favorite among many fans of the genre. It wasn't just the gameplay that impressed players, but also the story and the overall ambiance. With the remaster, the game now supports 16:9 aspect ration. Onimusha: Warlords also has a new soundtrack, improved controls with support for analogue sticks, high definition graphics and a new 'easy mode'.

For the uninitiated, the game's plot is set in the Sengoku period and players take control of two characters - Samanosuke Akechi and Kaede. They have to fight against the forces of Nobunaga Oda and save Princess Yuki.

While Onimusha is definitely a great game that will be experienced by many gamers for the first time with this remaster, the game has not aged too well. A remake would have been a great idea at a time like this. But I guess, Capcom had their hands full with another remake!

Survive 30 minutes in Resident Evil 2 to see new Cinematic Trailer

While the highly anticipated and gorgeous looking remake of 'Resident Evil 2' will be released officially on January 25,2019, fans will be able to get a taste of the game beforehand. Starting from January 11 to 31, players will be able to play take part in a special demo event for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

Aptly named the “1-Shot Demo,” players must take on the challenge of surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in just 30 minutes. If players complete the mission objective under 30 minutes, they can restart the mission until they use up their full time. If players succumb to the zombies during their 30 minutes, they can continue any number of times until the full 30 minutes have been reached.

The end of the demo reveals a brand new cinematic trailer exclusive to demo participants. While players cannot restart the playable demo after their time is up, there are no limitations on how many times the trailer can be viewed.
