The massively popular battle royale title 'PLAYERUNKOWN'S BATTLEGROUND' recently received a 3D replay feature, provided by Minkonet. A little more than one month later, the feature seems to have really clicked off with PUBG players as Minkonet reported an estimated 9 million replay view per day!

Furthermore the report suggests an average of five minutes of replay viewing time per game session. Additionally, 70 - 80 percent of players utilize the recently released Death Cam feature. The data comprises Minkonet’s internal research, external tracking sites and a sampling of player usage including streamers and content creators.

"We're helping PUBG further strengthen user engagement through our replay technology,” said Gilbert Kim, President & COO of Minkonet. "There is a tremendous amount of raw content just waiting to be unleashed within gaming titles and we're starting to see some great use cases."

The 3D replay functionality is a great addition to the game as it can allow for some really cool shoots to be captured and later compiled for a great looking video. Players can also use the footage to see where they went wrong and what other players do to survive for the longest time. People have already started putting out compilations using the feature, around the web.

Minkonet’s proprietary gaming technology captures robust 360-degree high-definition data files, including the dynamic behavior of each gaming participant during a match and provides seamless playback free of slowdown or gamer lag. Minkonet is also currently developing artificial intelligence (A.I.) driven cinematic highlights (just the sound of it is so cool!) that will automatically mash up key moments of one's game session. In addition, the company is developing a solution powered by anti-cheating A.I. algorithms for the gaming industry.
