Indipendent game developer Sumo Digital, part of the Sumo Group plc has taken on CCP Games’ Newcastle studio along with 34 of its staff. Owen O’Brien has been positioned as the Studio Director, and remains in Newcastle. This acquisition makes the Newcastle Studio the fourth studio under Sumo Digital. The developer already has two studios in the Sheffield and Nottingham in UK and one in Pune, India.
Paul Porter, Managing Director of Sumo Digital said, “As we continue to expand this was a great opportunity to bring an experienced, talented and tight-knit team on board."
